Dr. Karine Clement is assistant professor of the Nutrition department, Hotel-Dieu hospital Paris. Dr. Clement has been involved in genetic aspects of human obesity. Her work led to the identification of monogenic forms of obesity. She contributed to 40 international publications. At Stanford University, she acquired competencies in gene profiling approaches applied to complex diseases and obtained in 2001 a young INSERM team focused on the characterization of patterns of gene expression induced by environmental perturbations. She is a member of several national committees in obesity and metabolism (AFERO, ALFEDIAM).
